Common questions

Commercial VPNs are black boxes — you have no way to verify they don't log your traffic. MyVPN Hosting is fully self-hosted infrastructure that trusted members can inspect. No company profits from your data, no third-party servers, no opaque privacy policy. The code running on the server is the code you can see.
Any standard WireGuard client works: the official WireGuard app (iOS, Android, Windows, macOS, Linux), Mullvad (without their servers), Tailscale bypass mode, and more. Just download your config file from the portal and import it — it takes under 30 seconds.
VLESS with XTLS-Reality is a proxy protocol that disguises your traffic as ordinary HTTPS to a real domain. It's particularly useful in restricted environments (hotels, corporate networks, countries with deep packet inspection) where WireGuard's UDP traffic might be blocked. Use WireGuard for everyday use and VLESS as a fallback.
Yes. All DNS queries from connected devices are routed through our Pi-hole instance, which forwards upstream queries through dnscrypt-proxy — an encrypted DNS resolver. Pi-hole telemetry is disabled and no query logs are stored beyond the last 24 hours for debugging purposes (also disable-able on request).
Access is granted by existing members or by the admin. If you know someone already on MyVPN Hosting, ask them to request an account for you. Admins can generate a one-time shareable config link or create a portal account for new members directly from the admin dashboard.
Log in to the member portal at any time to download your WireGuard config file again or copy your VLESS URI. The portal is accessible via the VPN itself or via VLESS — so even if you're locked out of WireGuard, you can regain access through VLESS and re-download your config.
